A couple of years ago, I found this lot on the edge of downtown Dallas filled with birds congregating at dusk.
If I approached on foot, they would just fly away, so I slowly drove my truck into the middle of them, creeping along until I had just the right composition. I shot it with a wide angle lens, so the front grackle was maybe 5 feet from me. He is really the main protagonist and gives the mass of birds a little individuality.
