Here’s on old image I kind of like. Young male and female lions in profile, Kruger National Park, South Africa.
Kruger is a massive park, and you can literally drive yourself through it. That makes it great, but it can get really crowded at times. There was a literal traffic jam of cars on the road jockeying to see these two lions as the young male followed the young female around (ah, young love).
Quite a circus. I remember shooting the image through the opposite side window as they paused for a brief second, oblivious to the human commotion around them.
I seriously need to get back to South Africa. I have a lead on an under-photographed area where you can shoot without being surrounded by throngs of other photographers. Price looks reasonable. Let me know if you might be interested in that kind of a South African photo safari experience.
Hey, Sean. It’s Jason Barnes – we’ve met and our wives are friends. I’d be interested in talking about joining your trip to Africa.
