There is a beautiful little fishing town along the Moroccan coast called Essaouira. Like everything in Morocco, it is ancient. Jimi Hendrix stayed there once, Orson Wells filmed Othello there, and it retains a charming mix of Portugese and Moroccan influence. They have a beautiful little harbor that fills with iconic wooden blue Moroccan fishing boats. On my first night there, this curious boy let me take his picture in the fading light.
