I love to photograph patterns.
When I can find something to photograph that is interesting or colorful, I will try to fill the whole frame from edge to edge. Usually I look for something to anchor the pattern, like a little shape or line or color that stands out just a bit or leads your eye through the image. Otherwise the image can just be “wallpaper” and not work as well.
Morocco gives a travel photographer plenty of opportunities to fill the frame with patterns. From shoes, snails, eggs, bags, skins, boats, hats to tombs to the colorful and tightly packed medinas, Morocco is brimming with colorful and interesting patterns.
