Dickcissels fly regularly through North Texas and its prairies. I saw a really cool interactive map the other day of their seasonal migration pattern on eBird that is mesmerizing, and well worth a look.
They like to find a tall perch above the prairie grasses on which to sing and call. This one found a tree-top at the Trinity River Audubon Center above a large grassland and sang its heart out.
