I have never seen so many cactus blooming all at once as I saw at Big Bend last week. Some were right next to the side of the road.
I saw another one out in the desert and hiked out to check it out. It was beautiful. Looking down, you could see dozens of blooms. And with high, overhead clouds, the light was just perfect.
