While at the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve in Oklahoma last week, I came across a field of fireflies, dancing in the fading light. Like many in the prairie states, I used to see these displays all the time, but now they are all too rare.
Fireflies are nature’s own fireworks. On this July 4, I thought it might be appropriate.

Two weeks ago we were in Manhattan,Kansas…the Flint hills are beautiful. Also loved seeing all of the fireflies there one evening. Don’t see that in Texas.
The Flint Hills are amazing. I’d love to set up a workshop there and see if anyone would go. It is a sublime kind of beauty in those hills.
