Here is another simple Lightroom HDR (high dynamic range) image of a shooting star wildflower in New Mexico’s Vermejo State Park near a flowing stream. I shot one exposure for the foreground and one for the background and combined them together quickly in Lightroom (Right click > Photo Merge > HDR).
For this image, I used existing light, and popped in a little bit of extra light on the wildflower in the larger foreground with a handheld LED light panel with a warming gel on the front. That made the flower stand out a bit, and warmed up the bluish shadows every so much.
I am leading a photo workshop to Vermejo Park Ranch next month. Check it out if you are interested in learning more about techniques like this!
