It definitely feels like Fall now. Here is an image from the Trinity River Audubon Center here in Dallas of fall grasses, dried and going to seed. I love shooting with a long lens and a narrow depth of field to create a soft, out of focus background. Add a bit of backlighting, pop in a touch of flash and voila, I like it.
