Armadillos are fun little creatures. While not blind, they have pretty bad eyesight and rely mostly on their nose and ears to detect predators and food. That means if you stay quiet and stand still, you have a pretty good chance of not spooking it – especially if you are downwind.
Here is a little armadillo from the Fennessey Ranch, just north of Corpus Christi. It was on the cover of Texas Highways.
