Sometimes I take pictures of specific things. Sometimes I take pictures of just tones, or colors or subjectless things that evoke some sort of feeling or emotion or sense of place. Here is one of the latter, from Nebraska.
I like standing in the middle of a big, open field under a prairie sky as the soft light of the day slowly fades to black.
