I came across this American lady butterfly on a cactus in south Texas.
There are tons of butterflies there but it can be challenging to photograph them because it is windy and warm and the butterflies tend to wake up fast in the morning and stay on the move all day. So it is a treat to find one chllin’ like this near some beautiful little cactus fruit.
