I usually try to photograph whooping cranes this time of year with my friend Ray at a place called the Crane House near the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, where the whooping cranes winter. I could not go this year, but here is a past photo from there of two young whoopers chasing each other around.
I could live a thousands lives and never tire of watching these incredible birds.
