Here is a an abstract image I took last week of a beautiful little part of the Great Trinity Forest here in Dallas, a few miles from my home.

These kinds of image are fun to shoot. You just need something nice and vertical, then tilt your camera slowly upward during a long exposure. Shoot lots and lots, and choose the ones the work best.

Try it with a faster exposure (¼ second) and then work to much slower exposures like this one at over 3 seconds.  You will get a lot of duds as you learn what works and what doesn’t, so just keep shooting and experimenting!
