My Vermejo Park Ranch workshop just finished and I thought I would post an image real quickly before I head back out into the field to shoot some on my own. Vermejo has a large population of wild horses. You see them quite a bit near the Canadian River and the old Catskill ghost town. When Catskill was swept away by a raging flood in the early 1900s, the horses got away and have been wild ever since.
It is quite a treat to see them. During the workshop, we saw a large herd running through the woods and I managed to get some shots through the trees.
