Featherfest – Galveston Texas

Featherfest is every April in beautiful Galveston, Texas. It is one of the biggest bird festivals around, and it has an awesome track of photographer classes and trips to nearby birding hotspots and Galveston locations, including an island rookery normally off limits to visitors.

I have done it for many years and it is great fun. With photographers like Kathy Adams Clark, Larry Ditto, Hector Astorga, Kevin Karlson, and Tim Timmis, it is a whirlwind four days and a bargain opportunity for a bird photographer.
