I will give my “Photographing Prairies” presentation to the Heard Nature Photographers at their Heard Museum in McKinney, Texas on October 14, 2023. My intent is to introduce more photographers to native prairies and encourage them to create compelling images that will help others appreciate and conserve prairies. I focus primarily on Texas prairie ecosystems, but do include images from Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, New Mexico, and Illinois. Kingwood is in the midst of the beautiful and highly endangered Texas coastal prairies.
